Yes. TaxBrief stores everything 100% on your device. There are no accounts, no servers, and no cloud sync. Your financial data never leaves your iPhone or iPad — not even for the AI features, which run entirely on-device via Apple Intelligence.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open TaxBrief → tap the My Data tab → scroll down to the Subscription section → tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

What iOS version does TaxBrief require?

TaxBrief requires iOS 18.1 or later. The AI Q&A feature (Ask AI tab) requires iOS 26 and a device that supports Apple Intelligence.

Is TaxBrief a replacement for a CPA or tax professional?

No. TaxBrief is an educational tool that explains tax concepts in plain English, grounded in IRS publications. All answers are for educational purposes only. Always consult a licensed CPA or tax advisor for advice specific to your situation.

What tax year does TaxBrief cover?

TaxBrief is built for the 2026 tax year, using figures from IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-32 — including updated standard deductions, tax brackets, IRA limits, and HSA contribution caps.

How do I enter multiple W-2 forms?

Go to the My Data tab → tap Add another W-2. Each W-2 is tracked separately, and your wages and withholdings are automatically combined on the Dashboard.

How do I delete all my data?

Simply delete TaxBrief from your device. Because all data is stored locally with no server backup, deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no account to close.

Why is the Ask AI tab not available on my device?

The AI Q&A feature requires iOS 26 and Apple Intelligence, which is only available on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, and later models (with Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings). All other features work on any device running iOS 18.1+.
